Mention “family” and Pamela Wright’s face lights up immediately. The values she learned growing up are the ingredients to her philanthropic heart. As State Regent of the Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution (17,000 members), she works daily to preserve history as well as promote patriotism by improving the lives of veterans. Sometimes, it is as simple as providing food; other times as critical as making sure a home becomes wheelchair accessible.

“It’s the least we can do to say thank you and we have not forgotten you.”

Pamela’s friends will say her professional life is a perfect fit in relation to what kind of person she is, a rare jewel! At her award-winning business, Wright Pawn and Jewelry, one man’s trinket is another man’s treasure. Pamela delights in finding new homes for designer jewelry, handbags, watches, engagement rings and a host of collectibles. All items have a story, usually centered on family.

While things at the shop may come and go, what remains constant is Pamela’s dedication to helping people discover their personal value. She believes that everyone is priceless. No wonder she has been selected as one of Houston’s most outstanding volunteers being named a 2013 Woman of Distinction.
